Let’s be real—keeping kids entertained (without screens) during Holidays feels like an Olympic-level challenge. But here’s the good news, I am here for you because I understand this struggle of every parent out there, So I decided to add little creativity in Everyday Spring Activities for kids .
My kids would all day just follow me like little puppies and I was not able to do my work at all ,but not anymore because these toddler sensory activities which i designed below are some fun, easy-to-set-up spring activities that not only keep kids engaged but also help them develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and independence.

Why It’s Fun: Who doesn’t love a good treasure hunt ? It is one of classic spring Activities But I added a little twist so, we are not just hiding random items, we are making it a clue to clues leading from one place to another.
How to Play: We Write simple clues that guide kids to the next location. You can start with something like, “Where do we keep the spoons? Look inside for your next clue!” End the hunt with a small prize or a fun challenge or have a little winning dance at the end to make your kid feel appreciated and this will enhance your bond with them also.
Improvised Version: If you don’t have time to set up clues, turn it into a spontaneous game: “Find five blue things in the house in two minutes!”
Why It Works: This game encourages critical thinking and problem-solving as kids decipher clues, and it adds an element of adventure to everyday spaces.

How to Play: Use pillows, chairs, and tape on the floor to create an exciting course. “Hop like a frog to the couch! Crawl under the chair! Walk the ‘tightrope’ (tape on the floor)! . My kids love this game Because they sometimes have a race like who reaches first and sometimes I join them and its becomes a family moment for us .

Shadow Puppet : Spring Activity for Toddlers
Why It’s Fun: Simple setup, This spring activity for kids can have endless storytelling possibilities.
How to Play: Shine a flashlight on the wall, and use your hands or cut-out shapes to make shadow characters. Bonus points for adding sound effects and silly voices! My kids make their own stories and Now they have created their own character like ‘Roar’ and ‘Grumpy’ and their have their own Story Times turn.

Improvised Version: No bottles? No problem! Use toilet paper rolls, stuffed toys, or even books.

How to Play: Place different household items in a box and let kids reach in (without looking) to guess what’s inside based on touch alone. My kids when tells me it has spikes for a fork , I tell you its so good that they have now learned names of so many objects without making them feel that they are studying.
Improvised Version: Instead of a box, just blindfold the child and hand them objects one by one.

Simple walking usually becomes boring for my little one ,and she says let’s go home mama , but when I introduced her with this Spring Activity ,she is like I want to play more , i have to pick her and say lets go home , But I have to be keep check on her , that I can do as I am her mama.

Why It’s Fun: Making noise is always kids favorite , I just made it so, they create their own instruments!
How to Play: Use rubber bands stretched over a shoebox for a guitar, a rice-filled jar for a shaker, or pots and wooden spoons for a drum set. Have a mini concert! Music is everywhere we can help our kids to find what could bring a talent out of them , This spring activity is fun and will also help you find your kids is a Real talent .I join my kids in their little concert and we make fun songs ,I promise you will love it .

How to Play: Announce “The floor is lava!” and kids must jump onto furniture, pillows, or rugs to avoid touching the ground. But we have to be more cautious with kids Because jumping from one furniture to another can hurt them , instead mark some areas on ground as safe region from Lava.

How to Play: Create a “mission” with tasks like crawling under strings (laser beams), tiptoeing quietly, and solving a code or a puzzle or a simple math problem . Learning becomes fun and it becomes easy for us to teach kids .
Why It Works: This boosts problem-solving, agility, and teamwork.
Improvised Version: if you have No setup for this spring activity ? Just give them “spy” tasks like “Sneak to the kitchen without making a sound!”

Paper Airplane Races
Why It’s Fun: This spring activity for kids makes them creative and a great way to bond with your kids.
How to Play: Have kids design and fold paper airplanes. Then, test them to see which one flies the farthest! .I help my kids design these airplanes or more creative things with paper what we called Origami , and then i also keep them as our home decorations ,kids feels appreciated and love to see their art being praised it boosts their confidence .

Why It’s Fun: Kids love drawing and this is without the mess so, now we parents love paintings too!
How to Play: Give kids a bucket of water and a paintbrush and let them “paint” on the sidewalk, fence, or walls. Watch their art disappear as it dries! I know when you hand kids colors and they paint the walls and whole home and we try everything to get these color out of wall and its so tiring . I loved this idea as spring activity for my kids because no extra mess and all fun

So, you can add this in your spring activities list .
