You know the drill: You’re trying to get dinner on the table. Your oldest two kids are arguing over a toy, loudly. The toddler is hangry and wailing, wrapped around your leg while you’re trying to cook. And of course, your husband is kept late at work (again). You are literally gritting your teeth, trying to keep your ish together.
And then you snap. Now, all three kids are crying. You feel like crap, and oh, dinner burned while you were busy yelling at everyone.
As my friend with four grown children told me, “Being home with young kids is a crazy, fabulous s#!% show.”
The worn-out tapes looping in your head prevent your growth as a parent and a person.
So how can you possibly expect yourself to be a perfect, unflappable mom from 50’s TV?
All of which you can do in…
I have four kids of my own, and I know how hard it can be to juggle family, a demanding career (both outside the home and from home), and just day-to-day life.
I designed Mindful Mamas, Connected Kids based on the lessons I’ve learned from years of research and working through my own issues around feeling “not good enough” as a parent. I’ve taken my drive to learn evidence-based practices (I am a PhD scientist, after all) and applied to it parenting. And now I’m sharing what I’ve learned with you.

This program was built for those in the thick of mom life, with babies, toddlers, big kids running (or crawling) in every direction.
I’m so excited to share everything I’ve learned with you, so you can wrangle your mind and get out of your own way to FINALLY enjoy your life with your kids (just like you deserve).
Because your kids need you. And if you’re living in your head, constantly feeling stressed about your never-ending to do list, you’ll miss out on the moments with the people who matter most.
your stressors before you get wound up. That way, you can stop an emotional storm before it starts.
toxic thought patterns with more positives ones that grow you into the mom you want to be.
your connection with your kids, plus model for them how to handle their own big feelings.
Mindful Mamas, Connected Kids does require some time commitment to be effective.
You’ll have a shorter (20ish minute) lesson to complete on your own time and some journaling to do afterwards (maybe another 10-20 minutes).
We will have a weekly Zoom meeting that’s about an hour long so we can talk about journaling responses and any real-time issues that have cropped up with parenting.
But my favorite part for time-strapped moms like ourselves is the weekly Voxer office hours.
Long answer short: But if you have time to watch more than one Netflix episode per day, you’ll have more than enough time for this. And unlike binging TV, MMCK will provide you with tools to better take care of yourself and your little ones.
Mindful Mamas, Connected Kids fills your toolbox so you can manage your own emotions as you raise your child.
I’ve got a child with ADHD myself, and I know how much more patience it can take to help her channel her mile-a-minute ideas, thoughts, and emotions.
While I definitely suggest finding additional, specialized support tailored to your child and family, the tips and scripts (that tell you exactly how to walk your child through mindfulness exercises and even getting through a tantrum) are going to be a huge help for you as a mom.
I mean, maybe?
While there are a lot of parenting courses out there designed to change your kids, we need to be honest: Your kids aren’t taking the course. You are.
Mindful Mamas, Connected Kids is about helping you become the parent you’re meant to be. As you learn to parent more mindfully, it’s going to rub off on your kids.
Plus, Week 7 and 8 are all about teaching tools to your kids so they can avoid meltdowns) and hitting their sister every time they want the toy she has).
I’ll be honest: I love my website. I worked really hard on it, and it’s like my 5th child.
But reading Evidence-based Mommy posts and keeping up with me on social is sort of like watching a YouTube video on how to do squats.
Joining Mindful Mamas, Connected Kids is like actually joining the gym and getting a trainer who holds you accountable each week.
As Bev says, “Samantha understood where I’m coming from and made me feel like my challenges are normal while also giving practical strategies for becoming a calmer, more responsive mom to my two young children.”
You can’t get the personalized coaching you get in MMCK from reading a blog post.
The program starts Wednesday, May 25 and runs for 9 weeks through July 20.
With that said, the lesson recordings are yours for life. Even once the program is over, you can go back for a refresher any time you want.
The program lessons are housed on a platform, meaning after you hit buy, you’ll be emailed log-in info for the member’s area. You’ll just log in and have access to all the videos, audio, and transcripts/journal print outs.
We will also meet weekly in our exclusive group coaching area. Recordings of each session will be posted in the course area as well.
I know how hard it is to actually set aside time for an “official” meeting. That’s where Voxer office hours come in.
In addition to our weekly Zoom meetings, we’ll have one day each week where for 4 hours, you can ask questions, get the other moms’ thoughts, or even just vent. And because it’s over Voxer (a free audio chat platform), you can give your responses after you put the baby down for a nap, between loads of laundry, or on your break. It’s low pressure and perfect for the mom-of-littles lifestyle.
I’m confident the Mindful Mamas, Connected Kids program is the missing link between you and a calmer, happier parenting life. But just in case, you have a full 7 days to put try out the program. If you do the work from the first week and decide this program isn’t for you, just let you know and you’ll get a full refund on your investment.
